#Menstrual
Hygiene Day
Many studies
show that adolescents girls drop out of school because of a lack of proper
toilets in school. Menstrual hygiene is not in the school curriculum and even
this is not a discussion point of the family and society. It's been assumed
that a girl can tackle it on their own.
The slogan
“menstruation do not stop in the pandemic” reflects the situation of millions
of girls in India. Limited stock of sanitary napkin in shops, non-ability of
the sanitary napkin in health centers, and lack of political commitment towards
adolescent girl’s hygiene and health and pandemic Coronavirus added on the
issue.
#BreakTheSlience,
#SpeakUp, Girls of India set to talk on the non-discus sable topic of Indian
society openly. #CreateAwearenessMenstrual Hygiene.
