साथ छोड़ना ही अच्छा है
जिसमे खुशी तुम्हारी, प्रियतम!
इसमे मुझको क्या कहना है

जा ही रहे हो लेते जाना
टूटा दिल यह, सपने सारे
क्या करना अब उन वादों का
तड़पाएँगे साँझ-सकारे ।

छोड़ गई तुम ख़ुशी तुम्हारी
लेकिन याद तुम्हारी बाक़ी
तुम्हें मुबारक नई ज़िंदगी
रहने दो मुझको एकाकी

जहाँ रहो तुम, ख़ुश रहना तुम
खुल कर जीना हँसते गाते
अगर कभी कुछ वक़्त मिले तो
मिलते रहना आते-जाते
